MINISTRY>>GOSPEL

The word “gospel” that is called “euaggelion” in Greek, means “good message.” The good message is:

God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15: 3, 4.

Jesus Christ Himself preached the gospel of the Kingdom of God and commanded His disciples to preach it to all nations. The apostles and the first church faithfully carried the message to many nations telling that Jesus is the Lord of all (Acts 10:36). Apostle Paul says, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16).

We believe that we, as a church, are the ambassadors of Christ with the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5: 18-21) and that the Lord has entrusted the church with the responsibility of preaching the gospel: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15, 16). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth (Romans 1:16). And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15).

Who is Jesus and why He came into this world?

The most important news everyone should hear is the gospel of Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world. The name "Jesus" means "Saviour." Saviour of the world (John 4: 42). This name is given to the Lord for He saves His people from their sins.

Jesus came into this world nearly 2000 years back…

To call sinners to repentance:

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mark 2:17.

To seek and save that was lost:

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 10:19.

To save sinners:

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus       came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15.

To save the world:

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17.

To give His life a ransom for many:

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,    and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:45.

To bear the witness unto truth:

To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. John 18:37.
