The True Light -

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world (John 9:5).

Man, born Blind received sight - In John's Gospel chapter 9, we see a man born blind. Jesus came to Him spat on the ground, made a clay, and anointed the eyes of the blind man and said, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6-7).

Man of God...Servant of God... and the Son of God: The blind had first through that Jesus who gave him sight was merely "a man" (John 9:11). But his understanding gradually grew. He then understood that the One who healed Him was the "man from God" for he said, "The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing". Finally he came to now that He is the "son of God" (John 9:35-41) and worshipped him.

Let us draw near - Ministry within the veil:

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:20-25.

The Word of God in Hebrews 6:1-2 reminds that we need to move on to perfection. There are many dangers for a believers in this world that will not allow the believer to move on to perfection (Hebrews 3:12; 4:11; 6:6; 10:25 and 10:39). We have seen that only Lord Jesus Christ can lead us on to perfection (Hebrews 13:20-21). Because we find many better things in Christ.

Another important aspect, that keep us from drawing back or growing colder in spiritual life, is to draw nearer to God. The Spirit of God, through the Word (Hebrews 10:20-25) encourages us to come closer to the Lord. Drawing nearer means entering into the most Holy place and ministering there. As we enter in to the Tabernacle of the Old Testament (which is earthly sanctuary Hebrews 9:2) we find the Altar of burnt offering and the bronze laver. They speak of the need of the sacrifice to have fellowship with God. As we move into the Tabernacle, we find the holy place into which only priests can enter. There we find Golden candle stick, Table of the shew bread and the altar of incense. They speak of the fellowship with God and of the ministry of mediation. As we draw more closer, we find the most Holy place into which only the high priest could enter and only once in a year. There we find the Ark of he covenant. It speaks of the presence of God and intimate fellowship/communion with God.

But in the heavenly sanctuary, which is built by the Lord Jesus Christ is the spiritual sanctuary. Christ died for us on the Cross becoming a Lamb that we offered as a burnt offering for us. He took out all the barriers (Ephesians 2: 11-22). Everyone who believes in that sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ has become a lively stone and has entered into the outer court of the spiritual sanctuary as a holy and royal priest. That is the work of salvation. We are not supposed to remain there. We should not be satisfied with the salvation alone. We do not draw more closer into the presence of God, there is a danger that you will be go away from the Lord.

Rather, we should draw more closer to the Lord, becoming active in the ministry within the veil. Such ministry is exemplified in Acts 2:42, which the fri st church followed steadfastly. There is safety when we draw closer to God. Moreover, there is progress in our spiritual life.

Are you drawing closer to God or are you going away from Him? In that case what is taking you away from the Lord. Let us confess and leave it. For the Lord is drawing us closer to Him with love.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) . Hebrews 10: 22-23
